Dinosaurs, drummers & psychics to appear at Merton Abbey Mills

… As crystal and fossil store celebrates 30 year anniversary

London, UK – June 11, 2019

GIANT Dinosaurs, free healing taster sessions, shamanic drumming, tea leaf reading workshops, giant gongs, public communal spell casting and solstice rituals - as well as live bands and children’s activities - are all in the line-up in a magical and mystic weekend of events on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June to celebrate Charlie’s Rockshop reaching its 30th year at Merton Abbey Mills in South Wimbledon.

Keely Bryant, a regular at Charlie’s comments: “I have been coming to this shop 20 years with my entire family. We always get our special birthday presents from this amazing place, a beautiful selection of gemstone jewellery, books on spells, runes, crystal, incense and much, much more - fantastic! I will always shop here.”

Merton Abbey Mills, situated on the banks of the River Wandle, surrounded by a historic watermill and buildings that were once part of Liberty and William Morris’ print works, provides a beautiful setting for both the outdoor celebratory event, the shop, and visitors. Stalls and a market will also be part of the event.

Starting back in 1989, Charlie’s is now probably London’s largest crystal, fossil and metaphysical store. As popular now as when it first opened, Charlie’s wanted to show its appreciation and thanks to its loyal customers by enabling them to celebrate the shop’s 30 years. “We have many grandparents who came in when the business started, who later brought their children and now their grandchildren,” says Charles Reynolds, proprietor of Charlie’s Rockshop. “It's lovely to see the interest pass through the generations. Some customers have become geologists and mineralogists for example, their inspiration starting here at the shop.”

As Londoner’s demand for crystals and crystal healing increases, the number of new customers are set to increase, as well as visitors from further afield. Fional Howell was delighted to find the shop on her visit from the USA:

“The biggest rock shop I have ever been in! I walked in with a list and found everything! Staff were great! The place surrounding it was gorgeous. I had looked up rock shops in London for our visit and had no idea this was so close to where we were staying. Now I know where to go back to when I visit London! Came all the way from New Hampshire, USA. I am such a rock nerd, this was the equivalent to being in a candy store for me! We haven't stopped talking about it! Thank you!!”

Charlie’s Rockshop is always happy to welcome everyone to its Aladdin’s Cave-style treasure chest and extends a warm invitation to those who would like to come celebrate its 30 years.
